Babies started arriving in May 2022!!!!

We hold back babies for health and safety until they’ve gone through their first 1 – 3 sheds. After that, the For Sale page gets updated with our 2022 stock.

Best photos of the parents can be seen on the Meet The Skinks page.

Birthing Day(s):
May 04, 2022
Total Babies:
0 Babies, 11 Unfertilized Eggs
Additional Notes: New Girl paired with Carl last year. 2021 was her first year breeding and she was the first to give birth that year. She is already sunbathing and showcasing those pregnancy jitters where they feel inclined to march constantly. Both are great signs of being gravid!
Couple 2
Subspecies:
Classic Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua Scincoides Intermedia)
Genetics of Offspring:
Standard Classic to High Orange Classic
Parents:
Jellybean and Carl
Female History:
Jellybean delivered 12 babies last year over 16 days
Successful Locks:
3
Breeding Dates:
December 31st, 2021 – January 5th, 2022
Birthing Day(s):
May 15, 2022 – May 21, 2022
Total Babies:
7
Additional Notes: Jellybean was quick to pair with Carl – her partner from 2021. She had 3 successful locks in 6 days. We tried for more, but she got defensive and started sunbathing. She also started eating. All great signs she knows she’s gravid and is working to keep this fetus’ growing strong!
Couple 3
Subspecies:
Specialty Morph Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua Scincoides Intermedia)
Genetics of Offspring:
50% T+ Caramel, 50% Hypo
Parents:
Tequila and Blizzard
Female History:
Tequila is a hit or miss breeder. I’ve had a year of 6 beautiful, healthy babies, a false pregnancy year, and a no-baby year.
Successful Locks:
4
Breeding Dates:
January 4th, 2021 – January 20th, 2022
Birthing Day(s):
May 19, 2022 – May 23, 2022
Total Babies:
0 babies, 9 slugs
Additional Notes: She was very eager to breed this year. More so than other years. Perhaps just because of her small stature, it’s best only breeding her every other year. If that is the case, 2022 should bring us wonderful babies from Tequila.
Couple 4
Subspecies:
Specialty Morph Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua Scincoides Intermedia)
Genetics of Offspring:
43.75% Sunrise, 25% T+ Caramel, 25% Fenn Orange, 6.25% Red
Parents:
Katherine Night and (unnamed) 8-month-old Male Stud
Female History:
Katherine has several years’ experience producing litters ranging between 1 – 12 babies every year.

Successful Locks:
2
Breeding Dates:
January 13th, 2022 – January 16, 2022
Birthing Day(s):
May 21, 2022
Total Babies:
3 babies
Additional Notes: I posted a video to Instagram when this happened. Basically, I left a cage door open – whoops! The 8-month-old on the bottom of the adolescent tower got out and was wondering about. This just so happened to be at the same time I knowingly let Katherine Night out to walk around.

As soon as she was out of my sight, I heard a scuffle. The two of them were engaged in the blue tongue courtship dance, and both were ready to tango.

This was a chance to confirm gender of the growing baby, and come on, I’m not going to ruin the little guy’s first time. That would just be cruel. So, I let them finish.

He is indeed male. Successfully locked with Katherine Night, and they successfully paired one additional time after that initial.

Katherine is already out sunbathing regularly – a good sign she’s gravid!
Couple 5
Subspecies:
Half Specialty Morph Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua Scincoides Intermedia)
Genetics of Offspring:
50% F2 Magma, 50% Classic (High Orange)
Parents:
Magmar and Carl
Female History:
Magmar delivered three very beautiful, high contrast, blood-orange babies in 2021
Successful Locks:
3
Breeding Dates:
January 7th, 2022 – January 22nd, 2022
Birthing Day(s):
05/24/2022
Total Babies:
10
Additional Notes: These two had several successful pairings this year. Last year was Magmar’s first attempt at breeding. She had a different partner in 2021. I expect even more babies from her this year.
Couple 6
Subspecies:
Classic Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua Scincoides Intermedia)
Genetics of Offspring:
Classic Northern (Light Classic to High Orange Classic)

Parents:
Hermoine Granger and Carl
Female History:
Hermoine delivered one baby in 2020 and did not breed in 2021.
Successful Locks:
4
Breeding Dates:
January 11th, 2022 – January 23rd, 2022
Birthing Day(s):
05/26/2022
Total Babies:
10
Additional Notes: She was very receptive to both Carl and Blizzard this year, but it was Carl who sealed the deal. She has been very interested in sunbathing and lying in her water bowl for hydration – both great signs she knows she’s gravid!
Couple 7
Subspecies:
Specialty Morph Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua Scincoides Intermedia)
Genetics of Offspring:
50% Sunrise, 50% Hypo

Parents:
Goldilocks and Blizzard
Female History:
Goldilocks has several years’ experience with litters ranging from 3 – 14 healthy babies every year.
Successful Locks:
3
Breeding Dates:
January 12th, 2022 – January 22nd, 2022
Birthing Day(s):
Total Babies:
Additional Notes: Goldilocks was the first to rise and breed last year. It’s only fitting she was last in both categories this year. I expect her to be the last to birth as well in 2022. She has had multiple partners over the years. This is her first-time pairing Blizzard and I anticipate very bright babies from them
Couple 8
Subspecies:
Irian Jaya Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua Sp.)
Genetics of Offspring:
CB Irian Jaya to CBB Red Irian Jaya

Parents:
Dinobot and George
Female History:
Two prior years with a single-successful lock, but no pregnancy.
Successful Locks:
4
Breeding Dates:
December 13th, 2021 – December 24th, 2021

Birthing Day(s):
06/06/2022
Total Babies:
2
Additional Notes: Dinobot was the first to wake this year and came out with this roaring, childless-mother vengeance. I’ve never seen a female behaving so, so eager to “get it on”. They had 4 successful locks real fast. Dinobot got very defensive on the 5th – a good sign she knows she’s gravid. George backed off.

George was interested in the other two girls but they weren’t ready for him. By the time they were showing signs of being ready, George was all tapped out. He’s been living with Gladys since early January so maybe something happened when I wasn’t around but I’m not super hopeful there’s a second Jaya couple this year.
